About Friday Squared

Every job on one board. Customers told. Friday squared away.

Why we built it

If you run a 2 to 5 truck plumbing or HVAC shop, you already know this day. Your trucks are out on six jobs and your phone keeps ringing. To know where each job stands, you have to call or text every tech. Homeowners call the office asking when someone is coming. Jobs that finished at noon sit uninvoiced because the hours and parts are on a crumpled pad in the truck. And by Friday, you cannot say what got done, what is still open, or whether the week made money.

The big field-service software covers this, but it is built for larger firms: 15 to 20 modules, long setup, per-seat pricing. Most small shops try it, find it heavy, and go back to the whiteboard.

What Friday Squared does

One board for the day's jobs, and it works end to end:

  • See every job at a glance. Each job sits in a lane: scheduled, on the way, on site, done. No calls to techs to find out where things stand.
  • Crew updates the board from their phone. Each tech gets a texted link. They open it, tap "On my way", "On site", "Job done". No app to install, no password to remember.
  • Customers hear automatically. When a job moves, the customer gets an update from your shop's own name. Fewer "when is he coming?" calls.
  • Finished jobs become invoice drafts. The hours, parts, and photos the tech logged on the job come back as an invoice draft. You review it, approve it, and send it. No crumpled pads.
  • Friday wraps itself up. At the end of the week you get a summary of what got done and what the week brought in.

Who it is for

Owners of small plumbing and HVAC shops with 2 to 5 trucks. You still run a truck some days and do dispatch from your phone or a desk in the shop. You are set up in under 5 minutes, and the whole shop is on one plan.

Every message we send starts with your shop's name and ends with an opt-out, because your customers are your customers, not ours.
